Linden Square, located right in the heart of Wellesley, Massachusetts, is the perfect spot to visit when you are planning a staycation, or for when you have a free Saturday. This one-stop shopping center offers visitors a spa to unwind, local shops for both adults and children, spots for children and teens to take lessons, fitness centers, restaurants, and even the grocery store and a pharmacy. Linden Square is located just 30 minutes of outside of Boston, and just a few minutes away from Wellesley Center — conveniently located just off Route 9 or Washington Ave.
Here’s a quick guide to visiting Linden Square:
- Grab a specialty coffee drink or tea!
- Visit one of the salons and spas for a haircut, a facial, or even a massage.
- Browse the shops for gifts, or treat yourself to something special as we head into the new year!
- Grab lunch or dinner at one of the great restaurants — there is truly something for everyone.
- The best part is that you can run some errands before you head home — CVS and Roche Bros. are conveniently-located near all of the shops and restaurants.
Now that you know all about Linden Square, there is still time to visit the courtyard. This year, Wellesley’s community merchants have launched a new holiday concept: “A Festival of Trees” – A Community Celebration”. This initiative has offered businesses not only in Linden Square, but throughout Wellesley, the opportunity to decorate trees hand-cut from wooden pallets. Each of these trees were adopted by local businesses, as well as community organizations and charities, and they’ve been decorated to represent their mission and vision.
It is amazing that trees were not only adopted by local merchants, but also by local nonprofits, as well as Wellesley Police and Fire Department — Green’s Hardware generously donated cans of green, red, and white paint to get everyone started!
This project was so special because this year we’ve all needed to adapt and come together in new and unique ways, and this is exactly what Wellesley did this holiday season.
